I have been using this DVD player for a month and it never failed on me. Supporting a long list of file format (DVD+/-R, DivX, WMA, etc), this one will make the best picture quality through HDMI cable, which is the selling point.

Those who feels "fooled" by the upscaling feature just need a better understanding about this feature: it's never about upscaling those store-purchased DVD; it's to upscale those home-made low quality video (converted from VHS, etc), to make it a bit better but that's it. You SHOULD NOT expect too much on this feature, so that you won't feel "fooled"...

I highly recommend this DVD. Has all the features you need, HDMI, MP3, CD-R/RW, Dolby, Progressive Scan, and everything you need for great viewing. I have no complaints about this product and it was the easiest and fastest purchase through Amazon. Setup was fast with the one HDMI connection and it has been great viewing from then on.

This is a Great DVD Player for the Price. It plays almost every format I have thrown at it....AVI, Mpegs, etc. I have a Phillips DVP642 and this player is so much better even at the most basic remote and GUI level.

Upconverting looks super and its so clean.

The Remote is simple to use.

I love this player and would buy it over the Phillips any day!
