Does not play region B or C Blu-ray - 110-240V WorldWide Voltage (Electronics) I was in the market to buy a region free dvd player mainly because to play my BBC collection and other PAL DVDs that I occasionally get from Europe. I looked around few dvd players on Amazon and came across this one with blu-ray as well. It seemed like a good value and so I went with it. I also like the added bonus of compatibility with MORE digital files (i.e. mkv, mp4, divx/avi, etc) via USB. This machine is truly a step above from the brand name region free dvd player that cost almost same as this and do not offer blu-ray playback. Setup was a breeze with HDMI cable to my HD TV. I played my PAL DVDs and they looked brilliantly compared to my older dvd player without the 1080p upscaling feature. The Bluray playback quality is great. Saturated colors and sharp. I also played avi files from a USB flash drive and the HD files were also upconverter to 1080p and looked much better than watching them on the PC. I connected my 1.5TB hardrive but it didn't detect it... Does not play region B or C Blu-ray - 110-240V WorldWide Voltage (Electronics) I purchased the OREI BDP-M1 region free blu-ray player from Amazon and have been using it for approximately three weeks. The product is even better than I expected and am (so far) very pleased with the purchase. My old player had no Internet access so I wasn't able to view any BonusView or Extra contents from the blu-ray discs. This connects to the Internet using the LAN connection in the back. I also updated the firmware on it and enabled PANDORA app to stream music. People should be aware that watching 3D movies on this player requires a 3D HDMI cable (not included) and a 3D TV (obviously not included). I haven't tested the 3d yet because my TV doesn't support 3D. It is good to have because I'll be upgrading the TV soon. The best part of this blu-ray player is that it plays PAL DVDs from Asia and Europe on the US TVs. I also like that it supports 220V voltage! I highly recommend this player. Does not play region B or C Blu-ray - 110-240V WorldWide Voltage (Electronics) I bought this player to view region 2 discs and to serve as a back-up Blu-ray player. It performs those functions pretty well but if you plan to use it for accessing internet content including firmware updates beware. It may work for Blu-ray live features but I haven't tried that. NetFlix, Utube or other online services? Forget it. If you only need a player this seems to be a good unit but definitely don't buy if you plan to use those services. Also the user guide is pretty much useless and online help is virtually nonexistant.
